WHAT IS CO-OP?

Individuals contribute funds to purchase large quantities of quality food which is then divided betwen the participants.

To the right is a sample of the types of foods we buy to share & the bulk orders we purchase from Restaurant Depot.  These are restaurant quality, grade A foods - not discount or expired items.   

As a licensed 501C3 (Not for Profit) organization we are able to shop at this exclusive store that is not open to the general public.  We purchase a large variety of staple foods each trip. 

We focus on expensive items like meat & dairy.  The more people that participate in an order - the more foods we are able to buy. 

Co-op is open to anyone! So please get your friends and family involved.  We cannot guarantee certain items or a set menu but we can & do guarantee that your $50 will get you AT LEAST $100 in grocery store quality foods.

Most co-op participants have cut their existing grocery bill in half each month by participating.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE 

Money is due at least 1 day prior to the actual food purchase date.

You must pick up your food on the day of the shopping trip (usually Saturday). 

You may purchase as many $50 packages as you like. The purchase increments MUST be $50. 

Co-Op is usually held every 5 weeks to help people budget $10 per week for groceries.

Please note that $5 per order goes to our Temple. It is both a charitable donation & a handling charge for the Co-Op service we provide. It allows us to purchase supplies, such as food safe storage containers & to assist members who are in need of food.  It also helps stock our church kitchen for holidays & observances.

Yes, this program is similar to Angel Food. However it is smaller, more organized and offers a better quality of foods.
